Becoming a Baby's First Massage Instructor was a natural progression in her work with pregnant women and their partners. She has seen the direct benefits that Baby's First Massage brings to newborns and parents. Parents feel more capable, more attuned to their babies, which in turn creates a greater sense of empowerment, clearer communication and a deepening of the parent / infant bond. Mothers are always excited about learning Baby's First Massage but it is especially delightful to see how new fathers often "glow" during the session when they recognize that this is something they can do to create a special time with their child.
Charlene is a member of the International Federation of Holistic Therapists, Doula C.A.R.E., the Niagara Region Breastfeeding Coalition, Prenatal Network of Niagara, CAPPA, & DONA International.
