We will be continually adding helpful information to this page so you can easily read current information on a variety of topics related to massage and early care of your baby.

We begin with a "pre conception" DVD that offers a loving, philosophical view about the impact of emotions on the development of the baby during pregnancy. "Cellular Echoes" is a unique production that is filled with insights about the body mind connection between the baby and mother, and those in the outer environment.

There are prenatal oriented products for the pregnant woman and her partner, including DVD's about pregnancy yoga, and partner massage during pregnancy.

Our baby massage DVD offers guidelines about when its appropriate to get started with massage with a newborn baby. Given that the baby is nearly full term and healthy at birth, many fortunate babies have had their first massage right in the birthing room or within hours after birth. Sometimes we must wait, though until the baby is medically stable. We make sure you have safe guidelines to follow. The Loving Your Newborn: Intuitive Touch DVD also has a companion book: The Little Book of Baby's First Massage that is simple to read, has clear large photos, and follows the DVD. These two products work well together, but either one can be used easily for learning. We also offer a Baby Massage Gift Set including both products.

Presently, we do not offer a particular brand of baby massage oil. However, we would like to recommend a very affordable cold pressed vegetable oil, Safflower Oil, as a great choice. You would be able to find this in any health food store, or in the health food section of most large grocery stores. Cold pressed oils have not been heated in their preparation and are considered to be "live oils" because vitamins and other nutrients are still present. Cold pressed oils tend to spoil sooner than processed oils. We recommend you pour off a couple of ounces into a small container and place the larger original bottle in the refrigerator. This will keep the oil fresh for many many months. Be sure you let the refrigerated oil come to room temperature or warm it before using it on your baby's skin!

Our collection of CD's have proven to be enduring in their enjoyment. Philip Elcano has produced three CD's that have been used during childbirth as a gentle background tool to relax the body and deepen the breath. His music is perfect for massage. Jose' Ruben Deleon has produced a sweet lullaby chant, "I love you baby, dearest" that weaves together English, Spanish, and Bengali, the native language for this chant. Sacred Earth Drums helps regulate the breath, the heart rate, and offers a rhythm similar to the adult hearth beat that helps recreate a feeling of safety and well being.
